Michael Osei specializes in advanced quality management solutions, leveraging artificial intelligence, agentic AI, machine learning, deep learning, and data science to empower businesses with state-of-the-art quality control systems. His mission is to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance while providing comprehensive evaluation, metaevaluation, and quality management system audit services to enhance the effectiveness of quality processes.
Currently pursuing an interdisciplinary PhD in Evaluation at Western Michigan University (WMU), Michael is an accomplished evaluation consultant with over a decade of experience. He applies rigorous methodologies to improve the quality and impact of evaluations, emphasizing precision and stakeholder engagement. As Program Co-Chair for the Research on Evaluation (RoE) TIG, he plans and oversees programs for the American Evaluation Association (AEA) annual conference. Additionally, Michael serves as a reviewer for the American Journal of Evaluation (AJE) and the Journal of Multidisciplinary Evaluation (JMDE) at WMU and has over three years of experience reviewing conference proposals for the AEA.
Michael holds an MBA in Total Quality Management from the University of Professional Studies in Accra, Ghana. He integrates the Program Evaluation Standards and AEA Guiding Principles to establish robust quality assurance frameworks. His expertise spans Quality Infrastructure, Design Thinking, quality systems auditing, Lean Six Sigma, ISO 9001 training, and data science. His work focuses on quality assurance in evaluation, corrective and preventive action (CAPA), needs assessment, cost analysis, and meta-evaluation.
Michael actively participates in professional organizations, including the AEA, the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management Society (IEOM), and the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Alongside his academic commitments as a doctoral research assistant at WMU’s Office of Institutional Effectiveness, he serves as Director of Events for the Graduate Students Association and as a member of WMU’s GFAC executive board. He contributes to evaluation projects and academic publications, consistently advancing the field of evaluation and quality management.
